Toutes les images émises par Alpha Reporter sont offertes sur une base individuelle de permis d’utilisation. Le copyright de l’image appartient toujours au photographe et à Alpha Reporter. Les permis émis servent à protéger les droits du photographe d’Alpha Reporter, l’utilisateur ainsi que les sujets photographiés. La gestion des droits a des avantages pour l’utilisateur puisqu’elle permet de déterminer l’utilisation d’une image particulière ou de permettre une utilisation exclusive, ce qui limite l’utilisation de l’image. Un permis d’utilisation est délivré par courriel ou par envoi postal en fonction de paramètres spécifiques rédigés par Alpha Reporter.

Permis d’utilisation

Quand le permis d’utilisation d’une image est émis par Alpha Reporter, l’utilisation est spécifiée dans la facturation et ne peut être utilisée dans aucune autre circonstance sans l’autorisation d’Alpha Reporter et du photographe. Le permis énoncera le média utilisé, la langue, et le territoire d’utilisation.

Les frais d’utilisation

Des frais sont exigés pour délivrer un permis d’utilisation d’une image. Les frais sont basés sur la façon dont l’image sera utilisée en fonction de paramètres spécifiques tels que le tirage, le type de média ou de support, la dimension de l’image reproduite, le territoire de distribution et la mention d’exclusivité ou de non-exclusivité. Alpha Reporter calcule les frais en se basant sur les informations transmises par l’utilisateur. Des informations incorrectes peuvent amener une facturation supplémentaire et peuvent entraîner l’annulation du permis.

Image Licensing

All images requested and purchased through Alpha Reporter are offered on an individual license basis – sometimes referred to as Rights Managed Licensing. The copyright of the image is always retained by the photographer and Alpha Reporter. The licenses serve to protect the rights of Alpha Reporter’s photographer, the licensee and even the subject matter of the images. Rights management has advantages for the licensee as it can be used to limit the use of a particular image, even allowing the use to be licensed exclusively, which effectively embargoes the use of the same image within the requested media. When an image is licensed, there will be standard terms and conditions outlined with your specific usage rights. This will be sent to you by post or email once the license has been agreed, with the full Name of photographer/αR terms and conditions.

Usage Rights.

When an image is licensed by Alpha Reporter, the usage is specified on the invoice and cannot be used for any other purpose without further agreement by Alpha Reporter’ photographer. The license will state the media use, language rights and the territories for the usage.

Usage Fee.

A fee is generally payable to license any rights managed image. The fee is based on how the image is going to be used. This will be calculated by such factors as the print run, media, the reproduction size, and territory distribution and whether the requested use is exclusive or non-exclusive. Alpha Reporter calculate this fee by relying in good faith on the information provided by the licensee. Incorrect information can lead to a surcharge on the originally agreed fee and may lead to a cancellation of the license.
